I once taught a class in horror movies. Here’s how I scored on the Fangoria list. I’ve seen all but the ones in gray! Jaws, The Haunting (the 1963 version, not the 1999 one), The Shining, The Exorcist, Dracula (Browning’s 1931 version), and Psycho are still my favorites.
And where is Carnival of Souls?

My poem “Unexpected Duet” was chosen for the Poetry in Plain Sight program, a collaborative effort of the North Carolina Poetry Society, North Carolina Writer’s Network, Winston-Salem Writers, and Press 53 of Winston-Salem.
It’s an honor to see my words displayed across North Carolina from the mountains to the sea. The poster appeared in libraries, galleries, shops, distilleries, and more in December. Here it is in the Oberlin Library in Raleigh. This is the second poem of mine to receive the honor. I’ll be reading it at the NC Poetry Society meeting in January 2024.
