This year started out great with a Pushcart nomination from Moonshine Review Press for my poem “Risk.”
As the site explains, “The Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses series has received praise as the most honored literary project in America, including Highest Honors from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Published since 1976, hundreds of presses and thousands of writers of short stories, poetry, and essays have been represented in its annual collections.”

I was also notified that another of my poems will be put on a poster and displayed across North Carolina as part of the Poetry in Plain Sight program. And I’m thrilled to have several other poems accepted by various journals, including Cold Mountain Review.

I’m celebrating.
